Evonne Ryan tells us how a client, we’ll call him Frank, came in just to thank her for working with him. After decades of working with other financial people, the team at Wealth Strong® Life Solutions helped Frank feel financially secure for the first time in his life. Evonne said, “You know, it’s so much easier to help people now than when I started 28 years ago. At that time I was surely confused on how everything would work together”.
But Frank said more. “You spent time helping me and my family learn things that you just don’t hear from other “financial professionals” I have met with . Meeting with you helped me clear up misconceptions I believed to be true all my life. I was teaching to same misconceptions to my children.”
Point well taken. Sadly many professionals are in the same boat as Frank – living with misconceptions they have carried around throughout their life and never getting beyond their “already knowing” And even if a financial professional has a true understanding of how money works, few are willing to backtrack and patiently explain a financial concept until it is understood.
It takes the heart of a teacher and coach to do this without judgement. It takes experience and commitment to provide financial proof or to be willing to explain how the economy and financial systems work.
It is imperative to work with professionals who are willing in spend time expanding your circle of knowledge, instead of saying “just trust me”.
